Acres of flooded bushes, vast stretches of aquatic vegetation, rows upon rows of boat docks and long rocky shorelines all look like bass havens, but searching for bass in cover of this magnitude can be a mind-boggling experience. In this scenario, more cover seems to be less productive overall, so savvy anglers look for less cover to find more fish. Tournament pros often say they target pieces of isolated cover rather than trying to figure out how to find bass in the masses of hideouts. When too much of a good thing is available, the pros look for isolated targets such as lone boat docks, weeds, flooded bushes and rocks.
