While you might have a number of spots that hold bass on a body of water during warmer weather, this is usually not the case when the fall chill sets in. For some reason, colder weather causes fish to bunch up. Schools of baitfish and young-of-the-year panfish will become larger, perhaps as a survival factor, as weeds die and less cover exists. Fall bass anglers need to fish with confidence, as most spots will usually be barren of bass. But when you hit that honeyhole, the action can be fast and furious.
