Whether it’s the second day of a major tournament or a Sunday afternoon in the middle of a holiday weekend, at some point this season you are likely to encounter a horde of boats on your favorite fishing waters. Anglers will be working every nook and cranny of the lake, splashing lures like artillery shells and generally scuffing the surface with fast starts and crushing stops. And if they’re not fishing, they are touring, skiing or jumping waves in jet boats.
This is the very definition of pressured water. Besides the wicked commotion, the bass in these waters have seen every lure imaginable. Many of the bass have been hooked and released or missed the point by the skin of their teeth. In pressured waters, these fish aren’t coming back until they’re really hungry or something suicidal swims by their face.
