See wood — fish it. It’s an anthem for crappie anglers to live by. In many lakes, crappie can be found on wood cover through much of the year. While visible wood is most often located in shallow water, there are exceptions. Consider blowdowns on steep banks that extend into deep water or standing pole timber in creek arms.
