It would be hard to envision what bass fishing would be like today if there were no reservoirs. The widespread construction of dams from the 1930s through the 1960s led to the formation of thousands of man-made lakes across America. Yet many anglers who routinely fish reservoirs have never ventured below the concrete monolith that holds back all that water. It’s a different world there, one that presents a completely different set of challenges to the bass fan.
