Swimbaits and drop-shot rigs have been popular with Western bass anglers for years, but most anglers east of the Rocky Mountains have yet to adopt them. Swimbaits especially have lagged behind, except at places like Lake Fork, Amistad and Falcon, where fishermen regularly cast swimbaits to catch the humongous bass that grow in these Texas reservoirs.
